Position Overview: The re:MADE Board Member plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission of creating positive community change through small business start-ups, environmental impact, repurposing resources, and responding to community needs. As a member of the Board of Directors, you will contribute your expertise and network to drive fundraising efforts that sustain and grow re:MADE's impact. re:MADE Board Members will consider re:MADE a philanthropic priority and make annual gifts that reflect that priority. So that re:MADE can credibly solicit contributions from foundations, organizations, and individuals. It's important that we can say 100 percent of our Board Members make an annual contribution. Our board culture is to cultivate strong collective wisdom, sharing together to use members skills and talents for the growth of the organization. Our goal is to engage and energize members to promote the mission and vision of re:MADE, raise resources, use meeting time productively, support decisions made as a team, embrace ongoing board development and growth, and quarterly complete board goals for sharing the re:MADE story. The board fosters a positive, respectful and transparent partnership with the Executive Director, maintains trust and open communication among board members, thoughtfully and efficiently resolves issues. We aim to continuously strengthen our impact on donor relationships, partners, founders, foundations, business, and overall growth that will outlast our season on the board. re:MADE believes every person is unique, gifted and has talents to contribute to the community. We break down barriers and create an open, inclusive, and equal environment in which every volunteer/artist/maker has the opportunity to flourish and earn income, if desired. Fundraising Board Members typically serve a term of 3 years, with potential for reappointment based on dedication and contributions. |

Anchorage re:MADE is a nonprofit, that opened in 2015, designed to empower entrepreneurs while keeping things from the landfill.

Our process for people interested in being invited to be on the board is: complete this application, if you have not volunteered, we would like to invite you to come, give you a tour and see how you could volunteer with us for a couple hours. This will give us both an opportunity to get to know each other, who re:MADE is and what we do. After this, if this is a good fit for you and for re:MADE, we will invite you to serve in a specific role, where your gifts can be utilized.
