Less Waste MovementLooking to make a difference in the environment? Want to give people with barriers to employment options for income? Purchasing local produced products that have gone full circle? Materials/items headed to the landfill, income created for an individual and now recreated product for sale locally. Sample project: A local company has fabric that is wrapped around equipment to be sterilized, it is waterproof, in the past they were throwing this byproduct into the landfill. They are partnering with us by giving re:MADE this fabric, [which is saving them disposal fees], we have a participant in our Take and Make program who removes tape and folds this waterproof fabric to create drop cloths. She is paid per drop cloth. We package and sell, providing income to someone who has a barrier to employment and it keeps the fabric out of the landfill. Join the Less Waste Movement as a individual, business/corporation or foundation for a one time donation, or commit to using less waste through a monthly contribution. |
