Sign up for your Author spot at our "Oh What Fun" Christmas Open House, December 10th

Tuesday, December 10th,  from 5-7 PM
    4 PM • Arrive and set up your space with your books 
    5 PM • Shoppers  can begin purchasing from you 
    7-8 PM • Pack up your books. 

Goals of the Event
  • Increase traffic and awareness for our nonprofit
  • Generate awareness for entrepreneurs
  • Highlight Alaska-based authors 
  • Create a fun event
  • Promote community and doing life better together

Teams
  • 5-20 authors will be invited
  • 12 authors will be accepted. (Due to limited space, applications will be approved for the first 12 authors.) Each day before the event we will highlight a single author on our Facebook page. Please share our posts on your Facebook to help spread the word.

Expectations
  • We have a VERY full store. You will be nestled in among the furniture throughout the building. 
  • You are welcome to bring a plate or bowl of desserts/cookies/candies to have at your table to share. 
  • Santa will be at the store from 6-7 pm, so your guests can have their photos taken with him.
  • Each author will have a name tag to wear for the night.
  • You will be directed to the space you have that night when you arrive. 
  • You will be handling all the sales for your books that evening. You can use credit card processing or take cash only. It’s up to you. You are welcome to have a spouse or friend join you for the night and assist with this. 
  • We expect this to be a lively fun night. Come have fun and invite your friends and family to stop by to get their books personalized. 

Fee 
  • A suggested donation $50 - $100 (per author) please pay with the link in email or you can make your donation prior to that evening at the store. Checks or credit card donations can be made to Anchorage re:MADE

Marketing & Event Promotion 

  • Please provide a 2-4 sentence mini bio we can use
  • Please provide a digital image of 1 of your book cover
  • Please share our social media posts on facebook with your network 
  • We will invite the news crew to come to the event, you may be on TV that night
  • We may take live video that night and share on our website
  • If you have a book cover poster, you can prop it up where you stand. (We will most likely not have a traditional table for each person. You may have your books on the edge of a dresser or stack of steamer trunks. We have a full store with furniture that will be maximized that night.)
